In the next  few blog posts we are going to talk about the vital ingredients  for becoming a successful salesperson. Do you know what the difference between a great and an average sales person is? ATTITUDE.

You may know everything there is to know about your product, and you may be familiar with every closing sales technique in the world, but that doesn’t mean you’ll be a winner. Attitude distinguishes the winners from the losers.

What is the right attitude?

Winners have a positive state of mind. I call it sales mindset. When they are put in a difficult situation, they are able to look on the bright side and find a way to achieve a positive outcome. They are optimistic. They are determined. They are expecting to win.

Can positive attitude be thought?

If reading these articles makes you nervous, because you don’t think like a winner, let me assure you:  POSITIVE ATTITUDE CAN BE THOUGHT! We were all born positive. A lot of people are negative because our state of mind is based on experiences. The good news is that we can change that.

In the next 10 articles I am going to help you change your attitude. You will start to think like a winner.  Are you ready? Let’s start with the first ingredient!

  1. Ingredient: DESIRE

I often hear excuses like:
‘I can’t!’
‘I don’t have any experience!’
‘I don’t know if I’m capable/strong enough!’
‘The competition is too strong!’

What is your excuse?

You need to know one thing. You CAN do ANYTHING you want. If you REALLY want it, it doesn’t matter if you have the ability or not. You will find a way to make it happen. It’s all about how much you want it! It’s not about the ability, it’s about the desire.

Let me give you an excellent example:
Nina didn’t like school. She always thought that it was too hard. Her grades were bad; she had a hard time studying and rarely finished her projects. She decided to leave high school. She got a job as a cleaning lady in a hospital.  After a while she started admiring all the nurses and realised that she wants to be a NURSE. She went back to school and finished all her courses. She got good grades and went to the University.
Has her ability changed? No. She just tried harder, because she had a goal. HER DESIRE HAS CHANGED.

Every one of us has the ability to do better. We just have to stay motivated.

How strong is your desire? Are you motivated? How much do you really want to succeed in selling?
I know many of you still doubt you can make it. Don’t worry. In the next few weeks you will receive crucial information that will help you increase your determination and winning mindset.
