Belief is a state in which you hold something to be true. It’s easy to believe what we can see and what we’ve experienced in the past. It’s not so easy to believe a future that is different from “what is” and “what was.”

Whenever you hold a belief, you set creative forces into motion.

A perfect example of this is people’s relationship with money. When you are feeling abundant and wealthy, it’s very easy to believe in abundance. That belief will set creative forces in motion: as you believe in abundance, your thoughts and feelings about it compel you to take action aligned with abundance. You can’t help but manifest what you believe in.

But if you are struggling to make ends meet, it’s much more difficult to believe in abundance. You know that you don’t have enough money, and this creates internal resistance to the belief in abundance.

When we give more weight to the outer reality and operate under “seeing is believing” it’s almost impossible to snap out of the lack mindset and adopt an abundance mindset. The outer reality is just too compelling. It’s so real we can touch it…
… while the inner reality gets dismissed as “just my imagination” and “it’s not real.”

But when you think about your physical reality, do you ever think about its origins?

Most people tend to be reactive in that we let the outer reality call the shots. We think that our beliefs are the effect and the outer world is the cause. But in reality, the physical world is reacting to us. It is reacting to our beliefs.

It’s a hard pill to swallow when your circumstances are not pleasant. It’s much easier to be a victim of circumstances than to take ownership for their creation.

But take heart – if you create something you don’t like, you can also create something you like very much.

Go back to the concept of belief. If you believe you can succeed; if you believe your dream can become a reality; if you believe that it is possible – you will take action aligned with the dream. If you believe you’re going to fail, or that the dream isn’t possible for you… you will either not take action at all, or you will quit part way through the process.

In the nonphysical, your dream is already real. Choose to believe in THAT reality… NOT the outer reality. Your outer reality is a construct of your inner reality. It is not the other way around unless you let it be that way. You can choose to believe the outer reality and let it dictate your beliefs, and keep reliving the same circumstances your whole life.

Or, you can choose to believe the inner reality. You can choose to give it more weight, and align your thoughts and actions with that reality. Your outer reality will shape-shift to match it. That is how powerful you are!
