We view our life and the world with our lens of values and character strengths. These values guide the purpose of our life and also explain how to explore social changes using the positive lens. Moreover, it helps individuals how to use lenses of various strengths to view things from different perspective. Changing the lens with respect to the situation enables an individual to improve his relationships and contact with the environment.

Appraising the situation with appropriate lens leads to a suitable reaction that is beneficial and is also valued by other people. For instance, usage of a prudence lens while guiding your child regarding a sensitive topic such as alcohol use and its harmful effects. Similarly, an honesty lens can be used when dealing with your young ones in order to encourage them to also be honest. A curiosity lens will be used when you want to ask a lot of questions regarding any situation. Thus, there is a lens of every situation that is appropriate and essential for healthy, positive emotions and welfare of the individual.

Most people consider life like a race, and therefore they seem to be in strain to win the race. Sometimes by setting unrealistic goals and overburdening life, they forget the rainbow of life. Hence, the purpose of life is to walk towards simplicity and view the world with a novel lens. Though setting high aims in life and burning the midnight oil to for luxuries might cause exhilaration that impel you to move forward, however; it never grants true satisfaction, happiness and harmony.

Thus, an individual must understand to view what is in front of him and to derive pleasure and happiness from it rather than fantasizing and craving for things that are unapproachable.  An individual has to find the lens of insight to view him deeply, to discover his fears, to bring them onto the surface, to confront them deliberately and to make the decisions that bring him contentment.
